Fitting the Custom Penske Shock

I originally planned to use a Ducati 916 Rocker Assembly and Ohlins rear shock but the top of the 955i swing arm is pretty high and therefore moved the whole assembly too high to fit under the seat. I looked at shorter shocks etc but ended up getting Gareth at Reactive Suspension to build me a direct acting custom Penske Shock.

I machined up a bottom mounting lug and had that welded onto the 955 arm by a company with a decent 3-Phase TIG to get the penetration to give me piece of mind ! I milled the top mounts and made up some spacers to mount the top of shock which also passes through the top frame/subframe mounts for increased strength.
